The CC Winn Maverick Cross Country Team couldn’t have been any closer to a District 29-AAAAA Championship on Saturday, October 12th at Southside High School in San Antonio.

The Mavericks and Cardinals almost came in two by two in a pack filling the top 10 in what was an amazingly close race for the district title. Only six points separated the two schools.

Hernandez and Rodriguez came in 1st and 2nd just six seconds ahead of the first Mav, Limon, who turned in a personal record 16:18.7 and Garcia’s PR, 16:23.6. Southside’s Adolfo Morales was 6th followed one second later by both Moises Villarreal (PR 16:56.6) and Diego Jimenez (PR 16:59.2) of the Mavericks.
